This was a pretty busy last few days for Poirier.
On Friday he raised the temperature with his Caribbean set at Montreal’s Igloofest in front of a record breaking crowd of 9000 attendees, turning the heads with some crazy karnival jams and his signature heavy beats. Twitter, Youtube and Facebook were heating up too!

And this morning we received the nice news that he got nominated for a Juno in the best Electronic Album of The Year category alongside world class acts: Caribou, Chilly Gonzales, Crystal Castles and Holy Fuck. It’s the second Juno nomination for his latest album Running High which got nominated in 2010 for the best Reggae Recording of the Year for the single Wha-La-La-Leng. Running High received the Best Electronic Album honor a couple month ago at the GAMIQ, Quebec’s independent music award.

Today sees the second release on Masalacism. Benoit, Jean-Philippe and mysefl are really proud to shine a light on these very talented street musicians from Botswana. Have a listen and learn more about MaSuper Star on Masala’s website: www.masalacism.com

Welcome, hope your visit was worth it.
